You may or may not have noticed the new image on the home page. The previous two are now in the portfolio if you find yourself having withdraws.

This play list seems to have no real thread. I was going to try for a few different themes but they just weren't happening so I just kinda mashed it all together with no conscience. So yeah I don't know I guess it's just some music I like, simple as that. Enjoy or not.

Explosions In The Sky - First Breath After A Coma - You gotta love these dudes. I like starting out with some ambient type jams for play lists 'cause it just eases you into it. Also really good background music while reading. Not that I ever read or anything.

Maritime - Someone Has To Die - Scotty got me hip to these dudes. They do some really chill out kinda stuff but I like the popieness to this track and how it doesn't quite fit with the context of the lyrics.

The Rosewood Thieves - Back Home To Harlem - Not gunna lie, I just heard this song for the first time today. But I like it, sounds a bit like a Beatles song no?

Joanna Newsom - Sadie - I really dig this chick in that Bjork kinda way, though I think she's a bit more relateable in a folky kinda way. She plays a giant harp and that's gangster.

The Decemberists - The Crane Wife 1 & 2 - I didn't want to put this song up because I have already put up The Crane Wife 3 and I would much rather expose you to tracks like O Valencia or When The War Came but I just dig this song to much and its more climatologically appropriate or something.

Kind Of Like Spitting - Passionate - "This was the first song written with Ben Gibbard on drums. We were really into Bjork and I’d been wanting to put a break-beat in a song. I didn’t finish the lyrics until the last minute. I remember sitting by the water in Seattle while Gibbard tracked his drums for the demos. It was a beautiful day and I just didn’t feel right bitching. And I definitely didn’t want the first song on the record to be a downer. Even though life was a pretty big downer at the time, I really made an attempt to get a positive notion in there. Whether I was successful or not is ultimately up to the listener." Yeah.

Fountains Of Wayne - Sink To The Bottom - Oh man am I on a nineties trip or what? This song was used on an episode of Scrubs I was watching a week or so ago. Awesome. It's to bad these guys will be better remembered for that Stacies mom song.

Mos Def & Talib Kweli - Thieves In The Night - Not a huge hip-hop fan but I like what I like and this IS easily my favorite album from said genre. I caught the flick Sixteen Blocks yesterday which Mos stars in, very good movie.
