Time of mind

The man the myth the legend that is my brother in law was in town most of last week on some super big too cool for you business-ie stuff. He was cool enough to hit up The Fountain with me. Wow. Visually it was breathtaking. The story and pacing was fine for me. There are two main ways I think you can interpret the story neither of which I will divulge but wonder if you come to the same conclusions. At it's essence though it is simply a love story. The movie is getting ripped up and down in reviews and I can't say that I don't understand why. It was easily the most ambitious film I've ever seen. I recommend it only if you have the time of mind.

Friday night was a good one. Scotty K came through again big time. His good friend's band DBC rolled through NYC again and he hooked us up. The kicker though? Brand New. Brand New was the opener. Yeah. I think I've made it clear how much I enjoy this band. I wasn't disappointed in the least. I came away, if possible, more impressed with them. And this might not even have been the best part. The venue my friends was a little place known simply as the worlds most famous arena, Madison Square Garden. The Garden. Now I've been to the Garden before to see the Knicks, the year right before they officially became the worst team in the league, but this was different. Why? Center court. No not court side, center court. Our seats were literally in the center of Madison Square Garden. If you don't understand why that's awesome then leave.
