The goggles do nothing
Well that was weird. The super bowl was actually better than the super bowl commercials. Well the first half at least. I did like the one with the dudes making out for the snickers and this one was fun.
It's fashion week again which means that Bryant Park is getting messed up. I'd really like someone to explain the effectiveness of "promo girls" to me. I mean do the people who actually respond and talk to these girls ever interact with the brand they are "representing" outside of that? And if they do are these idiotic people the ones you want? Especially during "fashion week", don't promo girls just cheapen your brand? I don't get it but the next pitch I go into, promo girls, nothing but promo girls. It is however very fun to see all these girls and sometimes dudes freeze to death all in the name of fashion. I bet they wish tights weren't just so cool right now, I know I don't.
I was reminded of a lot of music I was listening to a few years ago recently and this couples with the newest release of one of those bands. A lot of these bands would be considered "emo" so for some of you who read this on the regular you can consider this a somewhat revisit to my previous attempt at an "emo" play list. The band with the new release? Fallout Boy. I think it comes out this week, maybe the sixth? Dave gave it to me a couple weeks ago and after I listened to the first few tracks I told Dave that a new Fallout Boy album was like the first day of spring. Yeah they're totally pop top forty now and Pete is a little crazy but their name is a fun bit of Simpsons trivia and damn it they make a fun record you really can't help but get into. The first track lets you know what you're in for with an intro from none other than J Hova, dare I say that's gangster? Anyway if you're into that sort of thing, pick it up.
Amon Tobin - At The End Of The Day - This is one of two songs that doesn't fall into the "emo" theme. I just think this is a great atmospheric song and a cool start off track.
Loudon Wainwright III - Natural Disaster - Tim gave me this song this week. It's amazing just amazing.
Armor For Sleep - Phantoms Now - Ala Romeo and Juliet this track is about two star crossed lovers who commit suicide together. Sweet huh?
Bayside - Just Enough To Love You - " Somewhere someones finding happiness, While I'm still here so hung up on you". So emo.
The Movielife - If Only Duct Tape Could Fix Everything - This song is about a dude who's chick leaves him and then because he doesn't go after her or wait around for her to come back he has somehow let her down. Brilliant.
My Chemical Romance - The Ghost Of You - This song is about some girl dying or it's a metaphorical break up song. If you watch the video it's about a kid dying at war. Either way it doesn't get much more emo than MCR does it?
Senses Fail - Bloody Romance - Well the title is emo but man do I have some good stories about these guys that I can't type out.
Fallout Boy - I've Got All This Ringing In My Ears And None On My Fingers - FOB manages to wax poetic in this the last track of their new album. "The truth hurts worse than anything I could bring myself to do to you". This is often times the case in life I think, the truth of a matter is usually much worse than anything we could come up with ourselves. Sometimes it's better than we could imagine as well though.

hey. best friend. remember that time that you got really mad at me when i moved your name from the top of the links list to the bottom of the list for aesthetic purposes.
well. i just noticed that i'm not even listed in your links section. thanks.
P.S. fall out boy makes me want to blow my brain out. blow like coke. like dying a slow painfully painful death.
promo girls are there so the suits that hired them have something to fuck after the event is over?
