I am Red Robot
Imagine that you are of Iranian decent, Arabic is your first language and you speak fragmented English at best even though you were born and raised in the united states. Now imagine that you want to fly from point a to point b within the united states. This would probably be a bit of a hassle given the state of the world and the perceptions within it yes? Now imagine you have tourettes with a high penchant to exhibit coprolalia. These are the things I think about.
Diesel Sweeties, one of my favorite daily reads has been syndicated recently, making the jump from the internets to print, it is very very good and very very funny in a very very inside nerdy kind of way. Speaking of awesome, Christopher Walken is my hero and this is to good not to pass along. "Not eighty, how 'bout four?" I've said before that I like Justin Timberlake and I'm not ashamed of it 'cause dude is cool, even if he did cry when he was "punked", and this video is great just for its scope and its "scarlettjohanssoness" isn't bad either.
And now for music that doesn't suck so much.
Radiohead - How I Made My Millions - Amazing song that was recorded in Thom's Kitchen apparently. Brilliance.
Nightmare Of You - Why Am I Always Right - I like this song because I wonder that everyday. This is the former lead singer of The Movielife's new band in case you were into them.
Malcolm Middleton - Four Cigarettes - Stumbled upon this guy I don't know when or how but I dig him.
For Those Who Know - Competition - Same story here, don't know how I came about them but I like them. Good walking around music.
Coco Rosie - Ohio (Damien Jurado Cover) - Coco Rosie is weird and fun, check them out if you like weird and fun. Who dosen't like weird and fun? No one I want to know that's who.
John K. Samson - Sunday Afternoon - John K. is the lead singer of the o so loved Weakerthans. This track is off his own ep. Good stuff as always.
Nick Drake - Fly - I was watching The Royal Tenenbaums a few weeks back and this song is from the scene when Richie Tenenbaum, after he has attempted suicide, climbs into his bedroom window to see Margot Tenenbaum who is sitting in Richie's tent.
