I had something in my teeth
Honestly, welcome to not sleeping for four days. My flight to Chicago was delayed for like an hour or so due to lack of visibility. I checked with Kraig when I arrived due to his pilot-ie-ness and he confirmed that in fact you do need more than an eighth of a mile visibility to land so the delay was use full in the way of me not dying. Speaking of which there was a four car wreck two car lengths in front of me on my way into the city. The cabbie felt this deserved "two dollars off" my fair. I tipped him large for keeping me alive and for getting to see a tire explode. The trip all came about because this dude Kraig, Jazz nor I had seen since like eighth grade got at us and said we should meet up in Chi. This dude was Jacob and he left to go play soccer in England and was like way cooler than all of us then. He still is. Good seeing you man. 300 wasn't as good the second time through but I think that had a lot to do with me being more interested in the KU score updates Tanisha was texting me during the flick, there is always next year, but the movie is still solid. TMNT this coming weekend = stoked. We had "official" Chicago style pizza, I wanted to hate it, I liked it. I sat right in front of Michael Jeffery Jordan's name stenciled in gold on the wall. Odds? Good it would seem. Possible best part of the trip: going to the science and industry museum to see the "bodies" exhibit only to find out that it was sold out and then finding out that the science and industry museum was the lamest place on earth. What the hell Chicago? What the hell? For real even if I was like seven and on a class trip I would have thought it sucked. It was hilarious though. I had a decent breakfast of french toast and luke warm bacon. Life lesson, eat the bacon first. It was great to see Jazz, Nico and Kraig even if only for the weekend. At O'Hare aka the worst airport ever to navigate I saw a giant print ad that the very next day I would be turning into an online media ad. Sometimes it's easy to forget things exist outside of my desk. I sat next to a girl from San Francisco on the plane. She was eating McDonald's which made me feel much better about my dinner of Doritos and bottled water. I tried to sleep and I think I might have. When the plane landed two men had an altercation about one not moving his seat up quick enough. The man who didn't move his seat up had a curly mullet, the man who felt he didn't move it quick enough was losing his hair and to teach it a lesson by keeping the hair he did have shaved. The man who didn't move his chair fast enough claimed the other lacked manners. The man who was keeping his hair in check claimed the other was an "ass". I silently agreed with both of them. I found myself behind the man who didn't move his seat up quick enough with his mullet and his son and his son's como baseball cap in line for the taxi. They were both smoking. The relativity of "manners" is a funny thing. I got in late and passed out in my shirt that smelled of Pez.
Work decided to be insane the last two days. Thanks work, you're awesome, I don't like sleeping anyway, or having a life.
I'm now eating peach ring candy which I just found in my bag.
Traveling is fun. More to come this weekend.
*Shout out to Celeste who was out here last week with Rob Famous as well but somehow a mention got lost in the shuffle and I'm ridiculously sorry for that. Forgiven?
