Band geeks and beer

Alright so yesterday was Tim's last day at work. Another one bites the dust to say the least. I could say a lot about Tim and thank him many times for everything he's done in the time we've worked together but instead I'll just do this;

1. Yum.

Last night Danny and Kristen and I went to a Weakerthans show. On a boat. It was weird. The show was good no doubt, but the boat was weird. For starters it was a boat and it was moving so everyone was unnaturally swaying back and forth and the views outside the boat were quite cool as well, so it was a bit distracting. Great show though.

2. Boating.

Now for new and fun music for your ears and face.

Colour Revolt - This is a great little band that reminds me a lot of cursive but they tend to be more mellow. I love the way this track opens.

Peter, Bjorn & John - Young Folks - I'm not gunna lie, I slept on this track in 06 and didn't know about it until Kanye decided to spit on top of it for a bit. But damn do I love it.

The National - Slow Show - " You know I dreamed about you for twenty-nine years before I saw you"

The Phoenix Foundation - Blue Summer - Trippy little tune I found via this film.

Jenny Owen Youngs - Long time readers will remember that I actually proposed to Miss Youngs last year only to be completely rejected. It's ok though, I still dig her and this song is a good reason why.

The Phoenix Foundation!?

Wow. Best band name ever. You DO realize that's the name of the company that cut MacGyver his paychecks all those years...
